Position Title: In Force Policy Administrator
Reports To: Supervisor, Individual Life Administration
Department: Individual
Term: Temporary Full-Time - 18 Month Contract

Work Arrangements: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

The Opportunity: Equitable Life is looking to hire a Life Administrator to join our team! We are looking for someone with superior critical thinking skills and a sound knowledge of life insurance products or willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills.

What you will be doing:
  • Verify that all pertinent information and requirements have been met prior to completing requests
  • Update and maintain individual life insurance policies including but not limited to the following: bank account updates, policy loans, dividend & cash withdrawals, inquiries relating to policy values, fund transfers and fund reallocations, terminations, and name, beneficiary & ownership changes
  • Accurately and efficiently apply premium & loan payments
  • Continually assess for potential process improvements & make recommendations for efficiencies
  • Responding to inquiries from policyholders & advisors while presenting a positive Company image
  • Provide outstanding service to both internal and external clients

  • Sound knowledge of Windows/Office and web-based applications
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities
  • Proven ability to learn and apply information quickly
  • Superior written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of life insurance products and/or LOMA designations are an asset
  • French language skills are an asset; specifically, an ability to read and provide written correspondence in French
