Administrative Assistant

McDonald’s in York Region is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, diligent team member to act in the role of Administrative Assistant for 35 hours per week.

Working closely with the franchisee of seven McDonalds’ locations in Markham, Stouffville and Richmond Hill, this person will take on a broad range of projects ranging from administrative tasks to management of small to moderate-sized projects.

Specific tasks would include clerical tasks, communication to the restaurant management team, filing and preparing customer response letters, invoice filing, supporting restaurant programs and promotions, coordinating fundraising events and community relations activities.

What We’re Looking For

· Experience in a small business or corporate environment in a coordinator role or relevant post-secondary education or training

· Comfortable in an office environment (this is not a work form home role)

· Strong/advanced English language skills (verbal and written)

· Strong initiative, high energy, disciplined planner

· Ability to create processes

· Can remain calm in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

· Ability to represent McDonald’s brand in the community

· Strong knowledge of the Markham/Stouffville community

· Flexibility to accommodate weekend and evening work on a periodic basis.

· Disciplined approach to routines and procedures

· Regular access to reliable transportation to conduct local business errands (mileage paid)

· Experience in Event Planning and coordination is an asset

· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
