Position Overview

Reports to the Director for the Acute Care Program. Responsible for the effective and efficient provision of administrative duties and secretarial support to the Director and Patient Care Managers of Acute Care Programs. Supports the Patient Care Managers by coordinating all clerical/administrative human resource tasks. Supports the Anesthesia Lead for Misericordia Health Center for site related administrative and secretarial support.

Experience

  • Three years related administrative experience, preferably in a hospital or other health care setting.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in computer use with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and email required.
  • Knowledge of ESP, SAP, and Novari preferred.
  • A satisfactory employment record is required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Minimum Grade XII in combination with a certificate or diploma from a recognized Secretarial/Administrative Assistant program. Courses in Administration or Office Management are preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of CPR training.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
