This individual will report directly to the Accounting Manager and Owner of the companies. They will primarily be responsible for preparing, recording and administering Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Benefits, and assisting with other financial reporting processes.

· Candidates should be located in Halifax or at least close.

Scope :

· Accounts Receivable

· Customer Invoicing

· Assisting with Accounts Payable

· Payroll Administration: using in house system and QuickBooks

· Job Costing

· Various reconciliations

. Assist with Government Reporting

· Assist Accounting Manager and HR/Finance Director as needed

Qualifications:

· Candidates should be located in Halifax or at least close.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting

· Prior experience with accounting software: QuickBooks

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and an aptitude for math

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google applications

· Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and the ability to work independently

· High degree of professionalism and confidentiality

· Impeccable organization and time management skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Good work ethic and positive attitude

· Vehicle and license a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
